With his experience in marketing and business development in healthcare companies, Abhishek has profound understanding and sound knowledge around the importance of evidence evaluation and generation, medical communication and Real-World Evidence in product life cycle management.
Abhishek has delivered strategic marketing plans, product launches and draft communication plans for internal leadership and HCPs across his career span. This enabled him to develop a keen eye for data and insights, basis which evidence can be generated for augmenting product value and in crafting sharp positioning strategies.
With this background, Abhishek intends to make Indence Health a leading solution provider in the space of HEOR, Real World Evidence, Competitive Intelligence and Medical Communication for clients around the globe.
Varun Ektare leads the Global HEOR business partnering with global pharma and device manufacturers, leveraging his technical expertise to develop cutting-edge, scientifically robust HEOR products. Additionally, he leads Indence’s economic modelling/meta-analysis team, aiming to enhance the company’s capabilities and influence in the field.
Varun’s educational background includes a BPharm from Mumbai University and an MPH in Health Policy from Boston University. He has over 12 years of experience in generating HEOR evidence for global pharmaceutical clients in a variety of therapeutic areas. His career has spanned the US, where he worked for 7 years, and Mumbai, where he built and led the Indian operations of Open Health over 5 years. Specializing in health economic modelling and meta-analyses, Varun has led several large integrated delivery projects for multiple HTA submissions.

Ayushman heads a team that works to deliver systematic literature review (SLR), targeted literature reviews (TLRs) for Pharmaceutical, Bio-Pharmaceutical and Med-tech companies in diverse domains such as epidemiology, treatment patterns, quality of life, economic evaluations and other areas.
Prior to Indence, Ayushman has over seven years’ experience in different aspects of virology and viral diseases of public health importance. He completed his Ph.D. from the department of Neurovirology, NIMHANS, Bangalore; thereafter, he has worked as a Project Coordinator in CDC, USA funded project on acute encephalitis syndrome, spanning across three states of India. He has four publications in and was involved in drafting two WHO resource manuals.
Dr. Ghosh has also worked as Scientist ‘C’ in the Ministry of Science and Technology, GoI, where he was engaged in project monitoring and research administration for over a year and half before joining Indence.
Mani heads the team focused on Health Economic Modelling. With over a decade of experience in HEOR, Mani brings a wealth of expertise to our growing team. He specializes in developing early economic models, global submission models, and supporting country-specific HTA submissions. Trained as a pharmacist, Mani has also led numerous systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses, making him a well-rounded expert in evidence-based healthcare decision-making across diverse therapeutic areas. Prior to joining Indence, Mani has gathered valuable experience working for ICON Plc, OPEN Health & Novartis.
Ayan heads the team providing consulting and technical support to global HEOR consulting companies. Since 2021, Ayan has been a part of Indence, and involved in the development of Clinical and Economic Systematic Literature Reviews, for therapeutic areas like oncology, cardiovascular diseases, and dermatological disorders.
Ayan did his post-graduation from the Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta. He then worked as a scientist in Syngene International Ltd. for four years, where he had major worked to develop novel anti-cancer therapeutic candidates. He pursued his PhD on Artificial intelligence mediated clinical diagnosis of Thalassemia and other ROS impairing diseases in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta, (2021). He had published four research articles focusing on development of artificial intelligence mediated clinical diagnostic models and its successful real-world validation.
As a part of Indence since 2021, Aniket has developed and executed a catalogue of literature reviews and market access reports spanning a wide range of indications including multiple malignant neoplasms, hematological malignancies, neuroblastoma and cardiovascular disorders.
Aniket is a Biochemistry major, with a Ph.D. in protein interactions & thermodynamics from the Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta. He has three publications on stress induced protein transcriptomics and kinetics of a novel psychrophilic lipase.
As a Consultant within the Evidence Synthesis team, Mrunal brings in extensive experience of conducting clinical and economic Systematic Literature Reviews, report writing for Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions.
Before joining Indence, she worked at Certara for 5 years and was part of their Data Science and Market Access team. Her contributions spanned around development and management of clinical trials outcomes databases that further supported meta- analyses across multiple disease areas such as oncology, pulmonary disorders, immunology, neurological disorder, cardio-vascular disorders. She holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad.
Tushar’s primary focus at Indence is delivering high-quality SLRs and TLRs across varied outcomes and therapeutic landscape along with his team. Tushar has also been involved as the primary researcher doing extensive background research for drafting internal white papers and manuscripts for Indence.
Tushar completed his Ph.D. from Department of Genetics, University of Calcutta. His doctoral work essentially focused on generation and estimation of PROs and identification of key driver genes and their polymorphic variants in modulating human behavior.
